Our Leadership

Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury serves our community by either funding or providing the delivery of public health and disability services. We work closely with the Manatū Hauora Ministry of Health which provides some disability support services, and other health services, at a national level. We also form part of the Tw Waipounamu region and we work regionally and nationally to develop innovative and efficient health services.

Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury have very broad responsibilities from primary health and disability support service providers (such as general practitioners, community mental health, and home-based care providers) to the full range of secondary-level hospital services available through Timaru Hospital and Community Services.
