Free information session for people living with a heart condition

Are you living with coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation or heart failure? You are not alone.

The Heart Foundation and Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand are sending a clear message to South Canterbury residents living with coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation or heart failure – you are not alone.

They are hosting a free informal session for people living with these conditions on Tuesday 28 November from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in the Caroline Bay Community Lounge, Timaru.

People affected by these cardiac conditions and their family members are welcome to attend this free session.

Guest speakers are Te Whatu Ora Cardio-Respiratory Nurse Specialists Kathy Patrick and Laura Scott from South Canterbury.

Local Heart Foundation Heart Health Advocate Marthy Cloake says the two are very experienced in the cardiac area and will be available to answer any questions.

“Kathy and Laura have excellent knowledge of cardiac conditions. This information session will specifically cover these heart conditions, as well as treatments and lifestyle options which can help people with coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation and heart failure,” says Marthy.

There is no need to register in advance. For more information contact Marthy Cloake on 03 688 8089, or email marthyc@heartfoundation.org.nz.
