UPDATED: This case will no longer be included in the SCDHB case numbers as they have been transferred to the Jet Park quarantine facility in Auckland from the managed isolation in Rotorua.

The Ministry of Health website announced there was one new COVID-19 case for the South Canterbury District Health Board on the 25 June.

The South Canterbury women in her 30s who arrived in New Zealand on June 20 from Peru has tested positive. The woman has been staying at the Ibis Hotel in Rotorua since arriving in New Zealand, and tested positive for COVID-19 following routine testing around day 3 of her managed isolation.
