Ka Ora Telecare provides free health advice and treatment on weeknights (5pm to 8am) and 24 hours a day on weekends and public holidays.

The Ka Ora team will refer you to the in-person service available in your area if you need it.

General medical:

  • blood pressure checks
  • chronic care management
  • diabetes service
  • driver license medicals
  • ECG heart checks
  • general and family medical care
  • insurance medicals
  • IV infusions for osteoporosis treatment
  • liquid nitrogen and cryotherapy
  • maternity and shared care maternity
  • men's health services
  • minor accidents
  • palliative care and advanced care planning
  • skin cancer and mole checks
  • lung function tests (spirometry)
  • subsidised chronic care management and care plus programmes
  • suturing of wounds
  • travel health advice, vaccinations (excluding yellow fever) and medication
  • vaccinations (including all childhood vaccinations)
  • Well Child | Tamariki Ora checks.

Minor surgery:

  • surgery for skin cancer, moles and other skin lesions
  • removal of skin tags
  • wedge excision of ingrown toenails
  • contraception insertion or removal.

Specialist medical:

  • plastering of fractures
  • ear suctioning
  • commercial diving medicals (call to discuss your situation before your visit).
