Hours of Service
The Community Mental Health services and Alcohol and Other Drug Service are open from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
The Inpatient Unit and A,T&R Ward are staffed 24/7 but in some circumstance mental health staff only work business hours. Please phone to enquire.
The TACT psychiatric crisis team is on site from 8am until 6pm, then on-call overnight. The 0800 number is answered 24/7.
The Areas we Cover
Mental health services are available to everyone living between the Waitaki River in the south to the Rangitata River in the north, and as far west as Mount Cook.
The After hours TACT psychiatric crisis service also covers as far north as the Rakaia River because Ashburton Mental Health Services do not have a crisis team.
