Seeking Committee Members
Can you help us make good decisions about health?
South Canterbury District Health Board is seeking expressions of interest from the community for membership of its statutory committees.
The following governance committees are seeking a community voice:
The Hospital Advisory Committee (HAC) monitors the provision of hospital services to the community. (3 people needed)
The Community & Public Health Advisory Committee (CPHAC) advises the DHB on the health needs of the local population and funding priorities. (3 people needed)
The Disability Support Advisory Committee (DSAC) advises the DHB on the disability support needs of the local population and priorities for using disability-related funding. (3 people needed)
The following clinical leadership groups are seeking a consumer/patient voice:
The Clinical Council provides clinical leadership at Timaru Hospital. (1 person needed)
The Clinical Governance Group provides leadership within Primary and Community Services. (1 person needed)
Local people are invited to put their names forward for membership consideration. We are looking for candidates who:
- live in South Canterbury
- have links with their community
- are passionate about contributing and
- have an interest in the health issues of the community.
Members receive a payment to cover the time spent in meetings and other expenses.
