New Board Members
Two new board members appointed to SCDHB.
Health Minister Tony Ryall has announced the appointment of Mr Warwick Isaacs and Mr Richie Smith as new members of the South Canterbury District Health Board (DHB).
They fill vacant positions left by Joe Butterfield and Quentin Hicks, whose terms expired.
Mr Isaacs is a chartered accountant and the current Chief Executive of the
Timaru District Council. He also chairs the Canterbury Economic Development Company and Civil Defence Co-ordinating Executive Group for Canterbury. He was previously Chief Executive of the Buller District Council, Executive Officer of Timaru District Holdings Ltd, a Director of Buller Electricity Ltd and a Trustee of the Buller Heath Trust.
Mr Smith is a professional director and currently chairs New Zealand Dairies Ltd and Proteus Holdings Ltd. He is also a director of GSG Capital Partners Ltd, Southfuels Ltd, Northfuels Ltd and FarmSide Group. Mr Smith was previously Chef Executive of FarmDirect Ltd, and Greenfields Co-operative Society Ltd & Axis Society Ltd.
