Public Meeting on Primary Health Care Proposal

Members of the public are invited to a meeting to
discuss a proposal to re-structure the primary health
care environment in South Canterbury.

Primary care services are usually the first point of
contact when you are feeling unwell. They include your
GP, practice nurse and pharmacist. The new proposal
suggests the integration of primary care services with
the district health board.

A combined meeting of the Community and Public
Health Advisory Committee, and the Disability Support
Advisory Committee will hear a presentation on the
proposal. There will also be a chance to ask questions.

The meeting will be held on:
Tuesday, February 23, at 9.30am, in the
Education Centre, Timaru Hospital.

Entrance to the Education Centre is through the brick
administration building on High Street.
