Snow Update 15 August

All Timaru Hospital and SCDHB services are open today and all appointments are going ahead unless the patient is contacted by staff to say otherwise.

Two clinics involving visiting specialists from Christchurch were planned for tomorrow and have been postponed. Patients with appointments at these clinics are being contacted personally. The affected clinics are cardiology and neurology.

The majority of DHB staff have made it to work today, although a few living in isolated areas have stayed home. The DHB has made arrangements to get staff to work by four-wheel drive if needed.

District Nursing and Meals on Wheels services are going ahead as planned with the help of four-wheel drive vehicles in some areas. Some people may receive extra frozen meals to tide them over if snow prevents meal delivery later in the week.
