The South Canterbury Health Promotion Team works in all areas of health promotion, responding to national and community public health issues. Public Health areas covered include:
• Youth Sexual Health
• Mental Health
• Smokefree Environments and Promotion
• Alcohol, including the Sale of Liquor Act
• Nutrition and Physical Activity
• Injury Prevention
• Smoking Cessation
The South Canterbury Health Protection Team covers all health protection areas including communicable disease control, food safety and environmental health.
